This new species is named in honour of Mr. Jeff Kinch, Principal of the National Fisheries College and also oversees operations of the Nago Island Mariculture and Research Facility (NIMRF), which hosted the 2014 Kavieng marine biodiversity expedition. Mr. Kinch was instrumental in the success of the expedition, which discovered several new fish and numerous new invertebrate species (Errata of etymology). |
