Remarks Page 22, where ‘Stut-chin, sturgeon’ is listed, also lists ‘Skookum, strong; ghost’, which is similar to ‘skookum’ for sturgeon in the Chinook of Oregon 25 years earlier (Diane Newell, UBC, pers. comm.). Chinook Wawa is a trade jargon (Ref. 124181).
