Remarks Inhabits shallow (1.5 m), crystal clear waters (pH 8.2) with a bottom of marly sand and some soft patches of silt. Hides among submerged and floating aquatic vegetation. Feeds on damselfly and dragonfly nymphs, other aquatic larvae, ostracods, copepods and snails.
