Remarks | Marine species which can survive in fresh water (Refs. 4967, 9773). Commonly found in mangrove estuaries, often entering creeks (Ref. 2847). Sometimes found in silty coastal reefs (Ref. 9710). Juveniles occur in estuaries and mangroves (Ref. 43081). Gregarious. Forms small dense shoals. Inhabits estuaries, wharfs and shallow reefs (Ref. 9773). Feeds in the water column, consuming planktonic organisms and detritus (Refs. 11889, 9773). |
