Remarks Collected from two creeks with slow current and from a small stagnant puddle at 40 m elevation; at temperatures between 26 - 34°C. Swims in small aggregations among vegetation or in shallow waters. Feeds on diatoms, desmids and detritus (Ref. 36880). Observed to occur in 10 to 50 cm deep (Ref. 26130).
