Diagnosis:	Dorsal spines (total): 2-2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 5-5; Anal soft rays: 10-10; Vertebrae: 32-32. Overall dark-colored body devoid of lighter-colored markings. Length of adipose-fin base 15.1-19.5% SL. Body depth at anus 14.1-16.6% SL. Caudal peduncle depth 10.1-10.5-% SL. Interorbital distance 41.7-45.5% HL. Lack of suborbital depression. Ventralmost extent of gill opening one-third distance from ventral midline of body to base of pectoral spine. Absence of serration on posterior edge of pectoral spine. Truncate caudal fin (Ref. 56231). Description: Dorsal-fin rays II,4,i; anal-fin rays iii,5,ii, iii,6,i; pectoral-fin rays I,6; pelvic-fin rays i,5 (Ref. 56231).
Biology:	Found among roots in a small stream (Ref. 56231).
