Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 318 - 461 m
Distribution:  Northeast Pacific: Aleutian Islands.
Diagnosis:  Diagnosis: Teeth are strongly trilobed; nasal pore 1 with unpigmented papilla; peritoneum black; orobuccal valve with 1 finger-like projection; orobuccal cavity pale; gill rakers 7-11, short and blunt; interorbital papilla present; pyloric caeca on right or left side; body red; iris silver gray (Ref. 57077).
Biology:  Smallest female with yolked eggs measured 8.5 cm SL; smallest male with enlarged, swollen testes 9.5 cm SL (Ref. 57077).
