Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-14; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Distinguishing character combination: lateral line scales: 29-33+2-3; 10 branched dorsal rays; mouth conspicuously inferior; snout protruding; pelvic fin origin under 4-6th branched dorsal ray (Ref. 27732); snout triangular when seen from above; fins of juveniles olive green (Ref. 43281).
