Max. size:  5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic; brackish
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: Amazon River mouth in Brazil.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 28-29. Snout fairly long, 4 times in head but less than eye diameter; maxilla short, tip nearly square, not quite reaching to articulation of lower jaw; lower gill rakers (not counted), about equal to eye diameter. Pectoral fin long, reaching halfway along pelvic fin; anal fin long, its origin below middle of dorsal fin base. An indistinct silver stripe along flank.
Biology:  Presumably riverine or estuarine. More material and data needed.
