Family:  Aphaniidae (Oriental killifishes)
Max. size:  7 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; brackish, non-migratory
Distribution:  Asia: Iran.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 4-7; Anal soft rays: 7-9. Description: males with 5-7 and females with 4-7 dorsal-fin rays; males and females with 7-9 anal-fin rays; males with 15-18 and females with 15-17 pectoral-fin rays; males and females with 7-8 pelvic-fin rays; males with 13-17 and females with 13-16 gill rakers (Ref. 96446).
Biology:  Not a seasonal killifish (Ref. 27139).
