| Distribution: | Western Indian Ocean: known only from Réunion (Ref. 4858, 33390). May possibly occur at Mauritius and Madagascar (Ref. 4858). | |||
| Diagnosis: | Body golden brown to orange with bright yellow spots; head brown, the posterior edge of the opercle dark brown or black; caudal fin and the rear portions of the dorsal and anal fins brown. | |||
| Biology: | Inhabits deep seaward reefs (Ref. 9710). Unknown to the aquarium hobby; its maintenance is probably similar to that of A. trimaculatus. | |||
