Max. size:  13 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Mekong basin (Ref. 12693) to Indonesia (Ref. 7050).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 23-27; Anal soft rays: 19-22. Light greenish to golden in color (Ref. 43281).
Biology:  Occurs in flowing waters of rivers and streams. May also be found in flooded forests and plains during the river's high water levels. Feeds on fish scales and fins. Seen in markets as part of mixed catches.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 18 December 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
