Diagnosis: |
Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 54-54; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 48-48. Pleural ribs absent. Hypural plate single, no slit. Gill slit small but reaching ventrally past 4th pectoral ray. Pectoral fin not overlapping the anal fin origin; 5 notched rays, spaced, short to rudimentary (11+5+6). Head 19.8%, preanal 31.4%, disk 6.0%. Peritoneum black (Ref. 34289). |

The only specimen known (46.5 mm SL, juvenile) was taken by a bottom trawl (Ref. 34289). |
