Diagnosis: Long-finned, slit-eyed careproct with horizontal mouth and not silvery in coloration; head deep, abruptly obliquely cuts downwards immediately in front of eye; mouth slit reaches vertical of eye center; gill opening twice as large as eye; opercular lobe auricular; teeth similar in size; interorbital space 56% HL; vent opens at vertical of posterior edge of the eye; caudal fin slightly emarginated; greatest body depth 103% HL; eye 19% HL; disc 20% HL (Ref. 41470). |
