Max. size:  33 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: lower Colorado River drainage including Pluvial White River and Meadow Valley Wash in Nevada, USA; Virgin River in Utah, Arizona and Nevada, USA; Bill Williams River in Arizona, USA; and Gila River in New Mexico and Arizona, USA and in northern Sonora, Mexico.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits small to medium rivers. Small individuals are found in riffles while adults in pools during day and riffles at night.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 14 September 2018 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
