Biology: |
Inhabits clear flowing streams over rocky bottoms. Occurs in still or flowing streams over sandy, muddy or rocky bottoms. Collections have also been made from small isolated brackish pools on the tidal flats, in turbid water. A solitary specimen of a similar species, which may prove to be new to science, was recently collected near Rum Jungle (Northern Territory) (Ref. 44894). |
