Max. size:  6.3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Maracaibo Lake basin and Gulf of Venezuela.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in well oxygenated, fast flowing waters (Ref. 26543). Not encountered above an elevation of 1,000 m (Ref. 26543). Omnivore, feeding on benthic invertebrates and small seeds (Ref. 26543).
