Max. size:  8.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish
Distribution:  Asia and Oceania: Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-8; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 8-8
Biology:  Occurs usually in brackish water but also found in freshwaters of tidal creeks and rivers (Ref. 2847). Very common in some mangrove areas (Ref. 2847).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 09 June 2020 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
