Family:  Clariidae (Airbreathing catfishes)
Max. size:  25 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Chiloango and middle Congo River basin (Ref. 51261, 78218).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Predominantly nocturnal. Conceal themselves by day among rocks of the shore zone or roots and branches of trees at the edges of lakes and rivers. Omnivores feeding primarily on small aquatic organisms and their larvae (Ref. 78218).
