Family:  Myxinidae (Hagfishes), subfamily: Eptatretinae
Max. size:  29.6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 20 - 50 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Taiwan and the South China Sea.
Diagnosis:  Gill apertures usually 5. Slime pores: prebranchial 17-23; branchial 0; trunk 39-47; tail 7-12; total 68-79. Gill apertures nonlinear and crowded.
Biology:
