Diagnosis: |
Dorsal spines (total): 3-3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 5-5. Similar to Formosania fasciolata but differs from this species by the following characters: length of the longest rostral barbel is equal to the eye diameter; presence of 2 bright spots behind the sides of the dorsal fin; absence of spot on all fins; and naked area in abdomen extends to ventral fin base (Ref. 86816). |
