Max. size:  80 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Sumatra and Borneo (Ref. 7050). Reported from the middle Mekong drainage (Ref. 12975).
Diagnosis:  Anal soft rays: 85-85. Dorsal fin missing.
Biology:  Occurs in medium to large-sized rivers (Ref. 12975). Stomach contents consist of small fish and prawns (Ref. 56749). Processed as smoked fish (Ref. 56749).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 14 May 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
