Occurs in hard, clear waters with pH 7.8-8.3, over rock substrate. Found syntopic with Nosferatu pame, N. steindachneri, Xiphophorus montezumae, Gambusia panuco, and Astyanax mexicanus among other fish species (Ref. 99935). |
