Diagnosis: | Dorsal spines (total): 8-8; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Description: Characterized by pale brown to silvery color; sides of body covered with large brown spots; spoke-like brown bands radiating from rear half of eye; greatest depth of body 2.9-3.5 in SL (Ref. 90102). | |||
Biology: | Found on the continental shelf (Ref. 75154). Also seen in sand/rubble bottoms among rocks, gorgonians and sponges (Ref 90102). | |||
