Family:  Triglidae (Searobins), subfamily: Triglinae
Max. size:  20 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 10 - 210 m
Distribution:  Southwest Pacific: southeastern Australia, including Victoria and Tasmania.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 9-9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-15; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 15-15; Vertebrae: 31-31. Snout profile and interorbit, straight to convex. Body is mottled pink, dark red above and whitish below (Ref. 33616).
Biology:  Found on sandy bottoms in coastal marine waters, over the continental shelf (Ref. 33616). Benthic (Ref. 75154).
