Distribution:  Eastern Central Atlantic: Mauritania and Canary Islands (Santa Cruz and Tenerife); extending into the northeast Atlantic from Portugal and southwest of Great Britain.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs on sand or muddy sand bottoms.
