Family:  Nemacheilidae (Brook loaches)
Max. size:  6.1 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: known only from the Mekong basin.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-13; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Has about 15 irregular vertical bars, darker along the edges and paler in the center (Ref. 27732), lips without furrows, forked caudal fin with subequal lobes and incomplete lateral line reaching to anus (Ref. 39226).
Biology:  Inhabit clear shallow waters in slow flowing pools with decaying terrestrial vegetation in upland rivers and streams (Ref. 12693). Found over gravel in moderate to rapid current (Ref. 27732).
