| Diagnosis: | Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 15-17; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 15-16. Can be distinguished from congeners by the pattern in the caudal fin. Males also show an irregular red blotch on the operculum. | |||
