Family:  Nothobranchiidae (African rivulines)
Max. size:  5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: Luapula River drainage, upper Congo River basin, in Democratic Republic of the Congo and Zambia (Ref. 59344, 95585).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal fin rays 17-18; anal fin rays 17-18; body depth 30.4% in SL; caudal fin with a banded pattern; males lack the distinct black spots that are present on the lower frontal part of the dorsal fin (Ref. 53985).
Biology:  Occurs in temporary pools, swamps and ditches (Ref. 59344). Bottom spawner, 4 months incubation (Ref. 27139).
