Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  3.2 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 20 - 70 m
Distribution:  Mediterranean Sea.
Diagnosis:  Distinguished by the following characteristics: separate pelvic fins (no ventral suctorial disc), although a low membrane connects the bases of the innermost rays, and the uppermost and lowermost scales on the base of the caudal fin have elongate ctenii (Ref. 86376)
Biology:  Occurs offshore over coralline grounds (Ref. 4345).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 12 March 2014 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
