Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range - 300 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Cuba, Puerto Rico, Trinidad-Tobago, and northern coast of Venezuela.
Diagnosis:  Dark saddles on pale tan or gray background, with 145 vertebrae (Ref. 26938).
Biology:  Inhabits coastal waters (Ref. 26340).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 15 August 2011 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
