Diagnosis: |
Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-6; Anal soft rays: 3-3. Lower lip lacking a median notch and having a posterior margin with laciniate projections. Caudal fin lunate with elongate, strap-like lower principal ray in mature males. Posterior base of adipose fin confluent with upper principal caudal rays. Maxillary barbel with rounded tip and entire margin. Head and body moderately broad and very strongly depressed (Ref. 44353). |
