Max. size:  4.58 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: known only from Xia'ao Cave in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal soft rays: 9-9; Vertebrae: 36-36. Diagnosed from its congeners by having the following combination of characters: vestigial eyes; origin of dorsal fin and pelvic fin vertically opposite each other; well-developed dorsal crest and ventral crest; entire body lacking scales and color (Ref. 78629). Description: Dorsal-fin rays iii, 8; anal-fin rays iii, 6; pectoral-fin rays i, 11; pelvic-fin rays i, 6 (Ref. 78629).
Biology:  Inhabits cave.
