Environment:  pelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: known only from the Sungai Lembang and Sungai Alas, Sumatra, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in a variety of conditions: in flowing water; in clear black or turbid brown water; over muddy, sandy or gravelly substrate. Valued for its tasty flesh (Ref. 39912).
