Distribution:  Asia: China.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-12; Anal soft rays: 14-14; Vertebrae: 34-34. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: D 3,9; A 3,11; pectoral fin rays modally 1,12; lateral-line scales modally 34. Colouration: dorsal fin gray with a broad shiny pinkish stripe, and with a very thin gray margin in male (Ref. 133055).
Biology:  Caught by han net or fish traps (Ref. 133055).
