Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: India and Bangladesh.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in rivers, canals, beels and ponds (Ref. 1479). Occurs in backwaters of flowing rivers over sandy substrate (Ref. 41236).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 20 March 2010 Ref. (130435)
