This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: D 15, A 18, V 7; short chin barbel (less than half the head length); no luminous organs inside the mouth on the lower jaw; with 35 photophores of series IV; mixed-size teeth in jaws; snout extremely short (Ref. 123293). |
