Family:  Zoarcidae (Eelpouts), subfamily: Lycodinae
Max. size:  10.9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic: Patagonian shores from Mar del Plata, Argentina, to Tierra del Fuego and the Falkland Islands.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  A benthic slope-dweller (Ref. 9022). Known to associate with seaweed and kelp holdfasts with adults spawning in rocky intertidal areas where they guard nest sites (Ref. 11954).
