Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: known only from the Salween basin in the Southern Shan States, Myanmar.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-12; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Incomplete lateral line reaching anal fin origin, with 56-57 pores.
Biology:  Occurs in a shallow lake with dense bottom and floating vegetation (Ref. 39226).
IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient (DD); Date assessed: 23 January 2010 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
