Characterized by translucent head and body with overall brown to bluish hue, blending in well with background; longitudinal scale series 22-25; nape without scales; restricted gill opening to base of pectoral fin or slightly forward of base; relatively deep bodied, depth of body at anus 3.8-6.9 in SL (Ref. 90102). |
Lives in association with the blue coral Heliopora coerulea (Ref. 34765). |
