Max. size:  7.4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 2 - 8 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 14-14; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-15; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 13-14. Description: Overall brown. Adult without markings, juvenile dorsal-fin with ocellus. Body depth 2.0-2.1 in SL (Ref. 90102).
Biology:  Life history characteristics for the family specify that this group is oviparous, with distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
