| Diagnosis: | Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-14; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 23-26 | |||
| Biology: | High-oceanic and mesopelagic (Ref. 4066). Found between 608-728 m during the day and between 364-426 m at night (Ref. 4066). Feeds on copepods and larval stages of krill, mainly calytopis and furcilia stages. Recorded from the stomach contents of Lepidonotothen squamifrons. | |||
