Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-10; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 9-9; Vertebrae: 24-24. Interspaces between dark bars on body faintly reddish; soft rays of median fins reddish. Anterior nostril with very short darkly pigmented posterior flap. Caudal shape rhomboidal. Flat interorbital space. 23-25 scales in longitudinal series.
Description: Characterized by slender body; base of caudal fin long; fan-shaped caudal fin; second dorsal and anal fins long; greatest depth of body 3.8-4.5 in SL (Ref. 90102). |
Found in deep caves (Ref. 9710), usually where little light is left (Ref. 48635). Solitary in caves (Ref 90102). |
