| Biology: | Often found in ditches, paddy fields and shallow water not far from tidal influence (Ref. 1479). Prefer stagnant or slow-flowing water with thick vegetation such as grasses, roots and floating plants. Feed on insects and zooplankton. A bubble nest builder. | |||
