Distribution: | Western Indian Ocean: Gulf of Aqaba. Also found in the Mediterranean coast of Israel. Probably occurring in the Gulf of Suez but no specimens are available. | |||

Biology: | Swims close to the bottom in zigzag movements. Caught by traps and trammel nets (Ref. 7446). | |||
