Family:  Paralichthyidae (Large-tooth flounders)
Max. size:  15.1 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 90 - 170 m
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: Chile, from Mocha Island to southern Chile, including the Strait of Magellan. Southwest Atlantic: Patagonian Falkland region.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 86-86; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 63-63. Brownish on ocular side, mottled and spotted with darker flecks, and with small dark spots; pectoral fin blackish; all other fins brownish (Ref. 27363).
Biology:  Maximum length based on one specimen (Ref. 27363).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 14 November 2019 Ref. (130435)
