Diagnosis: |
Vertebrae: 43-43. A relatively small scaled species with the following characters: scales in lateral series 30-31; predorsal scales 11-12; transverse scale rows 5/1/2; mental lobe well-developed but very short; vertebrae 28+15=43; adults and subadults with a dark midlateral stripe on body and all fins very dark, almost black. |
