| Diagnosis: | The species has eyes and a barbel-like anterior nostril. The caudal fin has 14 branched rays, and the body behind the dorsal fin is covered with scales. The tips of the depressed pectoral fins do not reach the origin of the pelvic fins, and the tips of the depressed pelvic fins do not reach the anus. The posterior chamber of the air bladder is developed. There are no outer gill rakers, and the first gill arch has 8-10 inner gill rakers. | |||
