Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Kyushu, Japan to East China Sea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-15; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 10-13. Body without prickles. Body brown with white vermiculation dorsally, white ventrally. An irregular dark brown blotch edged with white on side of body just behind upper part of pectoral fin (Ref. 559).
