Description This is the fourth longest river in Korea following Amlok River, Tuman River and Nakdong River in order. Han River, rising from Taebaek Mountains, arrives at West Sea of the Korean Peninsula (Yellow Sea) via Kang-won-do, Ch'ungch'eong-pukdo, Kyunggi-do, and Seoul City (Ref. 32613). The Han river is distinguished into three parts in Korea: Han river, North Han river (Buk-han gang), and South Han river (Nam-han gang) (Ref. 12218). Basin area: 26,219 km2 (Ref. 58345).
